Lockdown was a moment to take stock of life. Painting was a means of escape. Leaving the intensity of the moment was all that mattered. This small painting grew from a drawing. It was made in the garden of the Chagall museum, Nice at the end of August 2019. The Intense light lead to the the blurring of edges and forms. Shapes and tones to merge to soften the view.
