Experiments are everything. Learning is a product of curiosity and pushing boundaries; playing with oil paint gives a different view of colour and form. Temperatures are rising now, and as I write this a thunderstorm is gathering above the nearby hills.
At this time of year the hills are full of Judas trees (Alberi di Giuda). This seems a cruel name for something so glorious. Sadly I have no idea why. However I saw this specimen on a visit to the vineyard Ca Lustra the other afternoon. Lovely wine from a family vineyard which has been growing on the hills at Faedo for the last 50 years.
