Sunflowers 2

Returning to an old favourite, the sunflower. Now I can see so much more in their shapes and forms. They say so much about responding to life and not giving up.

The return has not been easy. Going over old ground can be a challenge. Could you put this down to the heat? There is sweat, but no tears, in this picture. Instead there is an abandonment to the madness of working in the midday sun. Colours are brighter, paint is richer, this is uncontrolled, it is a response to living in Italy.
